I'd like to do a guided imagery called Bringing in the Light. I would like you to take a few moments now to settle yourself, so you can become still, and you can do the guided imagery. I'd like you to either sit down or you may just stand up. A place where you can be private and you won't be disturbed for a little while. When we begin the guided imagery, I'd like for you to have your spine completely straight so you're supported and balanced while you do this guided journey bringing in the light. Begin by taking several deep breaths, slowly inhaling and slowly exhaling, breathing in and breathing out. And as you breathe out allow your body to become completely relaxed. You may focus on your abdomen and let your abdomen breathe in and breathe out, relaxing even more deeply. Allow yourself to be completely supported, either by the chair or wherever you're lying. Allow yourself to be held. Take these moments, beginning to relax even more deeply. Focusing on your breath, becoming calm, becoming centered, becoming quiet. In your mind's eye, I would like you to focus on the area around your heart and breathe into your heart center. Take a deep breathe, deep breath in, breathing slowly. Breathing out. And as you focus on this area around your heart, I want you think of something that you deeply appreciate. Something that you love, so you can feel this energy in your body. Breathe into this energy letting it expand all the way through your body filling your entire body with this energy of love, kindness, and compassion. Now, feel this energy expanding outside your body. Feeling it becoming more spacious inside. Closing your eyes, I want you to visualize a light, a candlelight inside your heart, and imagine this glowing. Imagine this light glowing and filling up the whole area of your heart. Now, feel it expanding outside your body, feeling yourself illuminate. As you feel this illumination, you are bringing in the light, the focus, and the source of it is in the center of your heart. And as you bring in this light, imagine this light filling your room, the place that you're staying. Filling the building and encompassing your own life and the people that you know. Allow this energy to expand, embracing all those around you. Feel this energetic field expanding. This is the feeling and the intelligence, and the experience of your own heart. The essence of the source of your creativity. Allowing yourself to dwell in this space, knowing that your life is the canvas of your creativity. It's from this source within you. This is the place to connect where you can have faith and trust in whatever emerges. I'm inviting you to go on a creative journey, of healing with the arts. I'm inviting you to bring your creativity and illuminate it in your life, bringing in the light. Sharing who you are, sharing what you hold in your heart because what you hold in your heart is important. And if you express it in any way, step aside and let however it manifests be. Let yourself speak your truth. Witness your creative process, as you allow it to unfold, you will be healed. Take a deep breath. Feeling emerging with this light that is within you. Letting it open your heart. Opening your heart. Feeling this energy expanding and contracting as you breathe in and out. Now I'd like you to return to focusing on your breath, breathing in and breathing out, honoring the life and the breath of your essence and your very being. Relaxing. This is about honoring who you are however it manifests in your life. The world is waiting for your expression of your uniqueness, of your life, and your creativity. Breathing in. Coming back to the center. Allowing yourself to visualize within you, the beautiful candlelight that forever dwells within your heart. Connect with that. Feel your body. Connect to the room, wherever you are, feel your feet, your arms, your body, feel the physicality of your life, and your body in this physical world.
