[Music] Okay, this is the last full week that you have to do coding on the game. So the theme this week is "Iterate, Iterate, Iterate". Find those bugs, squash them. Find those last features, your stretch features, your stretch goals that you want to add to your game. This is your opportunity to do that. This is your opportunity to fill out all those portions of your vision that you set way back at the beginning of this process. This is the time that you should be wrapping all the different pieces up because next week you are going to have some other things to take care of before you are ready to turn in your final games. So this is it! Iterate! Iterate! Iterate! The main functionality that we are evaluating this week in addition to just an improvement of what you have so far is the preferences screen. What we want you to do with preferences screen is to make sure the preferences do what they say they are supposed to do. We talked about three different preferences that we want you to make sure that you have. Two of them are specific, and one depends on your game. The first preference that we want you to be able to demonstrate for us is that you can turn the sound on and off globally. All right, so that should be some kind of toggle switch on the preference screen and we want you to demonstrate that. The second preference that we want you to demonstrate for us is the ability to reset all the achievements in the game. So someone takes over the game on the device, some achievements have already been earned, and they want to start fresh or maybe a user that has not played for awhile wants to start fresh with the achievements. There should be some way of resetting the achievements withing the preferences pane. The third thing we want you to demonstrate is up to you and it depends on your game and what your game is like and what the design of the game entails. We would like you to demonstrate the third preferences and show us the preference does what you want it to do. You can have others as well, but we want you to just demonstrate three of them. And of course, we want you to improve your overall game play as well. So this week, the deliverable that we want you to turn in is a video. We want you to take a screen recording, again, of your simulator running or a quicktime version of your application running. We want you to start, as before, with describing to us as a self assessment, on what have you done since last week. Where are the areas that you have focused? Has it been on the play testing results? Has it been on something else that you knew was a glitch? or is it some new feature that you had as something you wanted to add? Perhaps you spent all the time just trying to meet the requirements of this milestone. Tell us what you have done. Then get ready to show it to us when you play the game. Once you start the simulator or quicktime movie recording of the actual device, we want you to step through the different screens as necessary so that we can see the different things that you mentioned as improvements has actually been done. Whatever the game play is, whatever you want to focus on, whatever you want to draw our attention to. Then we want you to turn your attention to demonstrating the specifics of the preferences that we asked you to implement for this week. So we want you to record a sequence in which you navigate to the preferences screen, you turn sounds off on the preferences screen, you go to the game and you play the game and no sound is emitted. Then we want you to go back to the preferences screen, turn on the sounds, go back to the game, and demonstrate the sounds have been turned back on. Then we want you to show us a list of achievements in which at least one achievement has already been earned. Again, this can be in your game if you have a view in which all of your achievements are listed or it can be in the Game Center interface for the user showing which achievements have been earned. We would like you to show at least one achievement has already been earned so that when you go to the preferences pane, and you hit reset achievements, however you implemented that, you can then take us back to that same place where achievements are listed and you can show us that achievements have been cleared. Finally, we want you to go to the preferences pane and execute that third preference that is related specifically to the design of your game, and then take us to the right place, to the game play, to I don't know where it is going to be, it is up to you. Show us that you have actually implemented that third preference feature. Of course, you can have more. Of course, you can do other things to improve your game over the course of the week. The three things that specifically we are looking for this week are those preferences though. Again, keep your video under 5 minutes. Looking forward to what you produce. Keep plugging away - you are almost done! Long process. I hope you are proud of what you have made so far! Thanks! [Music]
